A couple of years ago, a new discovery was made that completely baffled scientists all around the globe. The discovery was made in Peru, and it was basically a very strange mummy with an elongated skull and only three fingers.
The Tomb was discovered near the Nazca lines of Peru and the mummy ended up being named Maria after some time passed.
According to experts, she is a bipedal humanoid being with 23 pairs of chromosomes which would imply that she’s a human after all, but that’s still up for debate.
She dates back to the 5th century AD and according to Konstantin Korotkov, a professor of the National Research University in St. Petersburg, she could be a representative of a race that evolved much earlier than us.
He also believed that this race might have perished as a result of a natural disaster such as a flood for example.
Maria also has a different rib structure than us and despite the fact that she comes from ancient times, she was embalmed in a cadmium chloride white powder which is significantly more powerful than even the balming methods used by the ancient Egyptians.
Four more mummies were uncovered later on in Peru, with all of them being male and all of them sharing the same characteristics as Maria, including the 23 pairs of chromosomes.
The professor concluded with the confirmation that these creatures resemble humans but are not, they are too different biologically speaking.
